Their goal is to be the generation that ends poverty, forever.

Every day 1800 children die and 800 woman die every day and this could be prevented.

If these were the goals of the United States and the United Nations, and every country of the world what a wonderful world this would be. What if each of us made these our personal goals , for we all can contribute , and we each have responsibilities.

• Goal 1: By 2030 we will eradicate extreme poverty and reduce relative poverty through inclusive growth and decent work.

• Goal 2: By 2030 we will eradicate hunger, halve stunting, and ensure universal access to sustainable food, water and sanitation.

• Goal 3: By 2030 we will end preventable child and maternal mortality and provide healthcare for all.

• Goal 4: By 2030 we will ensure all children receive a good-quality education and have good learning outcomes.

• Goal 5: By 2030 we will ensure all children live a life free from all forms of violence, are protected in conflict and thrive in a safe family environment.

• Goal 6: By 2030 governance will be more open, accountable and inclusive.

• Goal 7: By 2030 we will have robust global partnerships for more and effective use of financial resources.

• Goal 8: By 2030 we will build disaster-resilient societies.

• Goal 9: By 2030 we will have a sustainable, healthy and resilient environment for all.

• Goal 10: By 2030 we will deliver sustainable energy to all.

Save the Children welcomes and encourages committed individuals to apply as volunteers for positions in our Westport, CT and Washington DC offices. Volunteer opportunities range from short-term to long-term assignments. They are offered in a variety of areas including, but not limited to, finance, fundraising, marketing and communications, public policy, and social media, as well as research and administrative work.

If you do not see a volunteer opening that matches your skills and interests, please feel free to submit an application for possible future openings, indicating your areas of interest and availability. Most volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of 12-15 hours per week.

International Step by Step Association 

ISSA

Their purpose is to 

The International Step by Step Association (ISSA) is a membership organization that connects professionals and organizations working in the field of early childhood development and education. 

• Improve the quality of ECE services 

 

• Create forum for collaboration, knowledge sharing and 

coordinated action 

 

• Provide technical support and resources to members 

on quality assessments and monitoring, and design of 

quality improvement initiatives for ECE.
