Hi Elizabeth,
ReplyDeleteI too provided quotes from Louise Derman-Sparks and Sandy Escobido, I enjoyed their point of view as well. However, I enjoyed the comment from Raymond Hernandez, sometimes it only takes reaching one to make a difference.
Good job.
Vanessa
I'm right up there with Louise Derman-Sparks, teaching in the early childhood field makes me feel whole too. Thank you for sharing so many quotes from the presentation. Very similar phrases jumped out at me too. In addition Raymond Hernandez mentions "it's that one little sparkle that makes the difference for me." These words came immediately after the words you mentioned Vanessa, I also found them to be meaningful words. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love the ones you shared they all touched my hearat and I feel the same way
ReplyDeleteI love the last comment that you used that Renatta Cooper said. So often we get wrapped up this and that we can lose sight of what we are here for, the children. I take personal possession of the children I teach and sometimes take it personally when bad things happen. That's when I have to remember to take 'me' out of it. Thanks for the reminder :)
ReplyDeleteI like the commment about ego. You should always think about what is best for a child whether you are a teacher or a parent. We all may feel tired or sick but think about the difference it would mean to a child.
ReplyDeleteI also was touched by Renatta Cooper's words. She was such an inspiration since she started out in classroom just as myself
